Do I have the right to enter with 24 hours notice even if the tenants refuse?

Hi all Not sure there's much I can do it about this issue but thought I would ask. I have a large house I refurbished to a really nice standard and let out to a group of 4 students for 6 months. I went to see the house as they are leaving soon and was shocked with the amount of damage they had...

Evicting a tenant for not paying rent and damaging property.

I would also have thought its fraud but it apparently is not. They can not pay directly to landlords, it has to go through the tenant. It really is crazy how people can get away with this, its essentially stealing hundreds of pounds from someone yet the current system allows people to do it.

Evicting a tenant for not paying rent and damaging property.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I will not be able to do anything over the next 3 months. However I was posting more for what I am going to do afterwards. Has anyone managed to get a tenant to start paying without going to court? The guy always seems reasonable when I speak to them, and when I...

Evicting a tenant for not paying rent and damaging property.

yes I may have to wait until after the 3 month period is over. For when this occurs does anyone know what costs are involved after the section 8 and 21 notice have gone through? Is there a chance of getting my money from the tenant back? Has anyone managed to sort this without going to court and...

Evicting a tenant for not paying rent and damaging property.

Hi everyone I have an issue with a tenant who has not been paying rent and has damaged the property. He was on a rolling contract. He moved into the property in 2014 and paid rent up until December 2019 and has just stopped. He has promised to pay several times but has not and now has stopped...

    Rentcharge

Hi everyone I bought a freehold buy to let property at an auction. It is an old terraced house in an area where prices are rising due to nearby developments. My solicitor found out it has a rentcharge attached to it (a very old occurrence that is very confusing). Basically there is a annual...

Buying house but may not stay in the area

The property I intend to buy is a bungalow but it is right in the city centre and will be easy to rent out if I leave.

Buying house but may not stay in the area

Regardless with what happens I will post with a follow up of how things have been, hopefully that will help people in a similar situation to me. Its very frustrating having the money to buy a property but having indecision with work! Renting all this time feels like a waste and it has not been...

Buying house but may not stay in the area

Only just saw these recent replies. I decided against buying the property at the time, although it was more that I didn't make a decision and the property went. I am still in the job but again could leave at any point. I think buying makes sense as I am still here and could have been living in...

Not sure wether to buy second home

Thanks for the replies. I think the issue I have is I may not be settled for a while, and I have been saving for 4 years. The money I have has just been depreciating in value and so I would rather invest it somewhere rather then wait. People say property is the safest place to invest, especially...

Not sure wether to buy second home

I am thinking of buying a property worth 165K in Liverpool where I currently work in. It is in an area where house prices have been going up every year and renting rooms is easy (near to University, main hospitals, city centre, shops). My primary reason for buying is to have a house to live in...

Buying house but may not stay in the area

The only issue is I have not bought a house in any area because of having to move around for jobs. I finally have this job with a 4 year contract, and there is a chance I will stay the whole time, but i am just not sure at the moment. I want to invest my money somewhere and since the area I am...

Buying house but may not stay in the area

I am thinking of buying a house in the area where I currently work. I have a 4 year contract and have enough money for the house deposit whilst keeping a considerable amount in my savings. Unfortunately I am not sure wether it is a good idea as I may quit the job within the next year and may...
