Hi Kim Just get the normal 3 month entry visa when you come through the airport. It takes about 3 months to get your work visa and your employer has to apply for it. It may be possible to do this before you arrive but I'm not 100% sure

Last year I went to Esplanada Sphinx for New Years and had an excellent night. It cost 150le and included all your food, drink and entertainment.

Is there any cost involved in the initial registering of the apartment? And can you leave in forms on behalf of someone else?

A friend of mine brought me over a 22in LCD with built in DVD player. She just packed it into her case. Another friend just brought the same one over for his apartment and came through Hurghada airport with no problems. You'll be lucky to get an LCD TV here for under 5000le.

For towels, the best place is the Government at the bottom of Dahar. For curtains you could try Abu Ashra Family market in Dahar but it would probably be better to bring them out from home.
