    Should I look at an eco-friendly house?

    I think that now the economy is beginning to - slowly but surely - recover, focus will be on sustaining the economy and the ecology, so it's definitely worth looking into over the next year or so. Not to mention the savings you make when you're running an eco-friendly house.

    I would hope to see it continue - particularly as government legislation gets tighter on making properties more environmentally sustainable. But I suppose in a post-recession market where people to make and sell fast - we might see construction companies just wanting to 'get the job done'...

    Interesting point - I think if we're talking about commercial property, obviously as an economic center of a country we probably do. But I have read recently that the UK commercial property market is diversifying into cities like Bristol.

    As new building projects were reduced during the recession, this has lead to high demand for commercial property. It makes sense that the sectors in most demand are office and retail, as recovery in the economy is leading to an increase in start ups and small business activity.
