IMHO, most government workers are over paid, useless good for nothing crooks. It's time there was a massive shakeup in the ranks. Bring in major consultants from abroad, no ones cousin, uncle, etc etc and get these buggers to work efficiently. Their salaries should be performanced based. We...- FSB

Is it legal as a British expat to own property in the North and South?
It may not be 'illegal' but it is morally wrong to purchase a property in the 'trnc' knowing that it may belong to someone else. It is akin to buy stolen goods in the pub. Further, any pre '74 land that is TC you will not get ptp and so you will never actually own it. Anything else is like...- FSB

300k villa, 30k agent fee?
On a resale it is 5%+vat (if he is VAT registered) Any more than that and he is screwing you over.- FSB
