Any evidence of any new European carriers using the new airport on a regular basis since the World Cup?

Thank you for your response. I did drive it when I was last there last year but wondered whether the route north would be improved as part of the airport develop works.

Appreciate the update Rob ... When there I need to travel north to Maracajau on the 101 so it would be good to know when the route to the 101 from the new airport is established. Kliffy

Bad by international standards but normal for Brazil although it always gets done in the end. I read that the old airport has already closed to commercial traffic??? ... Where are international flights going in the meantime? Do you know if new airport access road to the north (101) is...

All good opinion points well made. For the record I am an property owner in Brazil not a real estate agent. Agreed the new airport has to open first and be seen as a viable option unlike the limitations of the current airport. At least the capacity will be available then it up to the recovering...

Not right now but as the recession eases (2-5 years my guess) my opinon is investment abroad will return to all cheap geographies even Cyprus and Spain!!! I had the opportunity but not the money to invest in Portugal in the 70's prior to the revolution when, not surprisingly, you could pick up...

Should the world recession continue to ease Europeans will again be looking for cheap geopraphies in which to invest. Although not as cheap as before the recession Brazil remains 'cheap' in world terms. The problem was and still is getting enough access into the country ie bums on seats...

I think the world-wide recessional recovery together with the new airport in Natal are more reasons to see any significant movement in property values in Natal than the World Cup itself. The World Cup will be the 'shop window' but the ability to more easily get to Natal in numbers from Europe...

Sounds like BA don't think new Natal airport will be ready in time either .... also reported in UK press Virgin are also looking to establish South American routes but not specifically Brazil but they are also reported to be buying A380's ... draw your own conclusions ... also some internet...

Yes .... travelled Arkfly once before but these days the connecting EasyJet flight from GAT is too tight causing an overnight stay which pretty much cancels out the flight cost saving ...

Agreed.... just paid £744 for GAT>LIS>NAT return when I used pay £250 GAT>NAT return with Thomson ... somehow even with the new airport and more carriers never get back to those kind of prices!

With the new Natal airport less thasn two years away (best guess) ... any rumblings in the carrier world regarding uk routes to Natal? or is Brazil still off the charter flight agenda?

Originally I heard it would revert to military use only. Not sure if that is still the thinking. Progress on the new airport is slow and the World Cup in getting nearer. With no progress on the new football stadium either Natal's World Cup host city status looks to be in doubt, which if lost...

Anyone know flight availability, cost and duration Joao Pessoa > Natal ?
