Hello, I want to start researching the UK's market to find some up-and-coming locations, but I'm not sure where to start or where I can find the necessary information.

I'm looking for stuff like job growth, population growth, new construction and that's all I have come up with- if you have any suggestions about what else I should know - please let me know.
Thank you in advance :D

Hello Jakub,

I always find the Office of National Statistics (ONS) to be very helpful whenever I'm researching an area. There are different reports about population, migration and unemployment. Another handy tool they have is the option to click on links for local statistics! You can find the website here: https://www.ons.gov.uk/

I hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Henna

Hi Jakub,

Also look out for investment in infrastructure, for example like the new Cross rail link across Greater London: http://www.crossrail.co.uk

Often house price increases occur around these locations as people can commute from these locations and better access makes the area more attractive etc..

That's a good shout Nicholas! According to MoneyWise, house prices in over half the locations that border Crossrail have increased significantly - especially in London! Read more here: https://www.moneywise.co.uk/news/2017-01-27/house-price-boost-to-60-areas-near-crossrail
