There is no mention of rental yields in this article, what kind of rental income to these types of property attract? If there is greater emphasis upon potential capital gain this is more risky than a long-term steady rental income.

On the plus side more people may now be stopping in the UK for their holidays due to the economic situation and there are relatively high rental yields available for investors. The worrying downside is the fact some local councils in the UK are attempting to ban second home investors in their region.

Much of the focus on holiday property investments seems to be on capital growth when in fact maybe investor should be looking more towards the rental income. Even though these properties may not be fully let 12 months of the year there are significant opportunities to charge premium rental rates for the better areas.
