While many people prefer the option of buying a cheap property, improving the interior and exterior and then reselling for a profit, renting is now becoming very popular as well. What is your preference, renting out your property or a short to medium-term resell?

Personally I think there is more mileage in having a backbone of rented properties (creating a rental income stream) and then trading other property assets with a focus on capital appreciation.

I prefer to focus on long-term rental properties and take capital gains when applicable.
