Which South East Asian city is best to invest in?

I bought one property in Port Dickson, Malaysia. Strictly as an income property. Just had it handed over to me last November. I couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of the build, the after sales service, the furniture provided, etc. It is by far one of my better investments and I...

Interesting Videos on Dubai Property Crash

THe chances of things getting better are same as them getting worse. I for one, am hanging on to my money. I will not listen to any one saying things are getting better. Even when they do, investing in the UAE is not an option we will consider any more. It's not because we wish Dubai to fall, it...

Dubai - in the eyes of the "external media"

No, we are already investing in Malaysia, Iran and the Philippines. As far as the boom time returning, I wouldn't hold my breath. You're looking at at least a decade before prices come to a level where they'll be comparable to last year's.

Interesting Videos on Dubai Property Crash

I lived in Miami Beach (South Beach) for 6 years. You CAN NOT compare MB to Dubai. Dubai was built on hype alone. Miami Beach is paradise.

Emirates City, Ajman, What do you think?

It looks like it's stopped or at least slowed down considerably. B7 Paradise Lakes, where i have a unit, has been on the 17th floor for the past two months. I have stopped making payments until they start building again.

Emirates City, Ajman, What do you think?

Hi. Yes I still have it. It's in paradise lakes, B7, # 2513. It's the C4 plan, which is the best floor plan in my opinion. But I'm alright with keeping it now.

I have a 1 bed room in B7. Have paid 180K so far. Due to my worsening financial situation I am unable to make the March payment. Would any one be interested in buying it off of me? I'm willing to let it go for 90K. The payments are 9K a month until May-1-09 and then 11K until Feb-2010. Then...

We lost a total of 120,000 Dhs on both flats. But I feel we'll still come ahead should we decide to purchase again later. The way prices are...

    Dubai/abu dhabi - bubble burst

I think the scenario you are talking about is only one of the things that might happen in the future. I think what a lot of people are forgetting is that Dubai was doing OK prior to this bust . And once things find their equilibrium, Dubai will be Ok again. But if as you say there will be a...

    Dubai/abu dhabi - bubble burst

It is a shame how rules get re-written here without any consequences for the developers. We had two flats handed over to us about a year ago. i went to apply for a visa on one of them and I was told that they don't give visas on flats any more. Just like that! The developer was the government...
